31 years ago, at the age of 24, I volunteered as a relief worker during the Bosnian civil war in the picturesque town of Mostar. The hardships, carnage, and struggle profoundly shaped my perspective on life, especially after my imprisonment in a concentration camp. This experience led me to reflect deeply on life’s true meaning, the importance of having a vision, and the desire to create a lasting legacy.
